"For me, photography is to place head, heart and eye along the same line of sight.

It's a way of life.

-Henry Cartier-Bresson

Hi there! I am Tanya and I am so thrilled you would like to know me better!

Here are a few words about me and my journey. I was born and raised in Russia, in a teeny tiny town in the truest middle of nowhere. My childhood summers were spent in the countryside, exploring countless green meadows, picking berries in the woods, playing in the river and overall, being very close to nature. I consider this pastoral landscape the original layer of my soul.

I went to college in Saint Petersburg, undoubtedly the most beautiful city in Russia. I had a major in cultural anthropology and a minor in art history, so thanks to my teachers, visiting art museums and people-watching are two of my favorite activities. 12 years ago I spontaneously moved to the US and it was one of the best decisions in my life. I've been married to my wonderful husband Robert for 5 years (and his big&loud italian family) and we reside in Hoboken, NJ with our 2 spoiled rotten Halloween cats (black and orange).

I've been photographing weddings since 2011. My learning curve went from assisting to second shooting to becoming an associate photographer for a high-end wedding studio. Now I am technically and mentally ready to curate my own clients and can't wait to provide the best possible experience for you, be it "a day in the life" portrait session, intimate elopement or a "go big or go home" wedding.
